Shaker doors are flat-panel doors with a clean, simple look that suits many kitchens. We build them to fit the cabinet boxes you already have, so you change how the kitchen looks without replacing boxes that are still sound.

New Shaker doors make sense in a specific situation. Here is how to tell whether it's yours.
Each door is built to your openings, not pulled off a shelf.
We bring samples to your kitchen, so you see the style, material and finish next to your cabinets, in your own light. Samples look different under your lights than they do in a catalog, so this is the best way to choose.
Paint-grade MDF is the right choice for a smooth painted finish. Maple and white oak suit a stained look, with the grain showing. Tell us how you want the kitchen to feel, and we'll help you pick.
Each door and drawer front is measured, built locally and finished in our own spray booth. Then they're hung, with the hinges checked and the doors aligned before we leave.
Lead time is usually 3–6 months from accepting a quote to the start of work. It depends on the season and the size of the job, and your written quote confirms the timing. Once the doors arrive, the on-site work takes about 4–8 days.
Plan for a temporary kitchen during that time. Clear the counters and the lower cabinets, and tell us about anything that needs to move. We keep the hardware labeled so everything goes back where it belongs.
Raymond stays involved from the first visit to the final check, so you have one contact for every question about the doors.
When you look at new doors, compare them with quality custom doors. The cheapest door on a big-box shelf is a different product, and it's the wrong yardstick for a kitchen you plan to live with for years. Compare the material, the joinery and the finish, then compare the whole project with the cost of new cabinets.
Both are flat-panel doors with a clean, recessed center. Skinny Shaker has a slimmer frame. We show both on samples in your kitchen so you can compare them side by side.
Yes. Styles can be mixed, for example Shaker uppers with slab lowers. Tell us the combination you have in mind, and we'll tell you whether it works in your kitchen.
Often, yes. Raymond takes a sample from one of your doors, sprays matching samples, and you approve the color before anything is built. Our color matching page explains how close each finish can get.
Paint-grade MDF is the right choice for a smooth painted finish. Maple and white oak are for a stained look, where the wood grain shows. The finish you want usually decides it, and we'll help you choose at the visit.
Yes. New doors go on solid boxes. If the boxes are failing, we'll tell you plainly, and we'll talk through whether refacing or new cabinets makes more sense.
On site, the work takes 4–8 days once the doors arrive. Lead time is usually 3–6 months from accepting a quote to the start of work.
