Soft-close slides need drawer boxes built for them. Sometimes new slides alone will fix a drawer. Sometimes the box has to be replaced too. We check, and tell you which one your drawers need.

Slides are the part people want to replace first, but the drawer box often decides the outcome. Here is how to tell which way your project goes.
Most drawers need one of two things: new slides, or new boxes built for them.
A photo of an open drawer and of the slides shows us what you have. Leave your details with us, and Raymond will follow up for anything else we need.
If the box is solid and only the action is bad, new slides of the same type may fix it. If the bottom sags or the corners have let go, the box needs replacing.
New drawer boxes are built locally to take undermount soft-close slides, then installed in one visit, with every drawer checked before we leave.
Photos give us a first read. If we need a closer look, we'll arrange a visit. Drawer work is quoted per drawer, and the quote lists which drawers get new boxes and which get new slides.
Box replacement is built to order, so the lead time follows the box schedule. Lead time is usually 3–6 months from accepting a quote to the start of work.
Raymond handles the look, the check and the install, so you have one contact from the first photo to the last drawer.
A new slide on a tired box is like new tires on a bent frame. It helps for a while, but the underlying problem is still there. When the box is solid, new slides are the quicker fix. When it isn't, the box needs to be replaced, and the slides go in with it.
Not on side-mount drawers. Undermount slides need drawer boxes built for them, so both the box and the slides are replaced.
Sometimes. If the box is solid and only the sliding action is bad, new slides of the same type may fix it. We'll tell you honestly if they won't.
That's common. Send a photo of an open drawer and the slides, and Raymond can identify them.
The drawer comes all the way out, so the back is fully reachable. It's the difference between seeing the front of a drawer and using all of it.
Yes. Our drawer boxes are solid maple with dovetailed corners and plywood bottoms set in grooves.
No. If the front is sound, it can often be kept and fitted to the new box. We'll check how it's attached at the visit.
Look for sagging in the bottom, gaps or separation at the corners, and swelling where particle board has taken on water. If you see any of those, the box likely needs replacing.
